‘It is a dream come true’, says Emile Nijssen, co-founder of Athom, the company that developed the smart remote control Homey. Homey is expected to be available in March.
At this time, Homey is still being tested. “There are a few improvements to be made,” says Nijssen. “We await the input of the geek backers. They and also the early testers have often surprised us all with great ideas. The idea to add an application to measure the yield of solar panels for example.”
Shops are eager to sell the Homey. Why? “It is an illuminated remote control that responds to your voice and manages all appliances, from the coffee machine to the tv. Additionally, you can operate it with your phone. It is an all-in-one solution.”
